1. New voice

Episcopal Academy ranked among the weakest offenses in the county last season. Averaging only 165.2 yards per game, only Penn Wood and Chichester were worse. Second-year head coach Todd Fairlie brought former Harriton coordinator Dave Gueriera on board to call the offense. Harriton offense was a flat-out juggernaut at times last season (a lot of that had to do with their Division I bound quarterback, Pat Moriarity).

2 . Strouss in control

Senior quarterback Adam Strouss is one of 24 seniors the Churchmen have back in the fold. Strouss shared time with Ian Strain, a senior receiver, at the position last year. Strouss is receiving Ivy League interest as a safety, but the 6-3, 200-pounder has a true QB’s makeup. He possesses a strong arm and is plenty smart. Not to mention, Strouss is a proven dual threat with his feet.

3. Jack of all trades

Senior lineman Jack Florio is a mean dude … and versatile. The 6-2, 270-pounder is taking his game over to the left tackle spot. Florio is new to the position after spending his first three years at center. What’s Florio looking forward to the most? Being able to run with the play and, consequently, bull people over, a perk he never had before. Florio is receiving interest from Colgate, among other college programs.
